The general requirements for admission to the program, in addition to any requirements enforced by KFUPM regulations, are:

• A four-year Bachelor's (BS) Degree in Biology (Life Sciences) from a recognized institution with evidence of a suitable background for entering the proposed field.
• A Grade-Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a scale of 4.00 or equivalent.
• Completion of TOEFL with a minimum score of 520 (PBT), 190 (CBT) or 70 (IBT). IELTS is also acceptable (min 6.0). Duolingo (min 105). 
• At least two letters of recommendation from the faculty who taught the applicant undergraduate courses.
• Satisfactorily meeting any additional departmental or university admission requirements.
