The Bioengineering Department at KFUPM is extremely proud of our team for being among the silver medal winners at the iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machines) global competition! 🎉

This year, over 400 teams and more than 5,000 participants from around the world competed, including prestigious universities such as MIT, Stanford, Princeton, McGill, Oxford, and the University of Tokyo. We stood side by side with the most renowned institutions globally, making our mark in one of the largest and most prestigious events in the field of Synthetic Biology.

We are also proud to be the first Saudi team to participate in this global event, demonstrating that our Bioengineering Department has the expertise and talent to compete at the highest level!
