Dr. Ahmed Dalaq, Ph. d., McGill University, Canada, visited our Bioengineering Department last week. He had applied for the post of an Assistant Professor and had been accepted by the Scientific Council. He paid a visit to KFUPM to get a first-hand experience of life at our university, to meet the Chairman and the faculty members of the Bioengineering Department and also to assess the research capabilities of the department. Dr. Dalaq also met up with our bioengineering students. He commented that he was highly pleased with the potential of our students and the wealth of knowledge of the department. Dr. Dalaq also visited the Dhahran Techno Valley, DTV, with Prof. Ulo. Langel. It is to be noted that KFUPM has offered him an opportunity to join the ranks of the department as an Assistant Professor. His proficiency in biomechanics will be an excellent addition to the department.
