Biography:

Professor Ahmad is an accomplished biological sciences academic specializing in genomics and bioengineering. He has more than 12 years of international teaching and research experience across Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Japan, and Pakistan. Before joining KFUPM, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. His areas of expertise include cellular metabolic engineering, genetic engineering, microbial biotechnology, nanobiotechnology, and sustainable bioprocessing. At KFUPM, he has made significant contributions to developing undergraduate and graduate curricula. He has also served on numerous departmental, college, and university committees concerned with accreditation, faculty recruitment and promotion, graduate admissions, academic program development, and research. Professor Ahmad has published more than 60 peer-reviewed research papers and serves on the editorial boards of several international scientific journals.
