Biography :

Dr. Ahmed S. Dalaq specializes in analytical, computational, and experimental mechanics. He applies the principles of mechanics of materials to analyze and innovate in the development of bioinspired systems, components, mechanisms, and materials. Dr. Ahmed views nature as an immense, ongoing laboratory that continuously shapes novel materials, where the inherent conditions of natural systems can guide real-world applications. He has also developed a strong interest in using origami principles for the design of energy absorbers, energy harvesters, and general engineering systems. Additionally, Dr. Ahmed focuses on Hearing Protective Devices (HPDs), aiming to design the most effective solutions while investigating the sources of pain and discomfort commonly associated with these devices.

His research areas encompass bioinspired materials, biomimicry, Hearing Protective Devices, mechanics of materials, and biomechanics.
