Bioengineering Students Graduate from Prestigious KAUST Academy Bioinformatics Program 2025

The Bioengineering Department at KFUPM is proud to announce that two of our students have successfully graduated from the highly competitive KAUST Academy Bioinformatics Program 2025, where only approximately 1% of applicants were selected to participate in this prestigious international program.

The students represented the department at leading international institutions and worked on impactful research projects:

• Raghad Algarni (MS-BIOE student) – University of Cambridge, United Kingdom
Proteomic Insights into Protein Expression Dynamics during C. elegans Larval Development

• Ali Alsaad (BS-BIOE student) – University of Toronto, Canada
Investigating Transport, Mechanotransduction, and Angiogenesis Pathways in Syncytiotrophoblast Cells: A Literature-Based Network Analysis of Biomarkers

We are proud to see our students representing the Bioengineering Department on the international stage with distinction and enthusiasm. Their accomplishments reflect the excellence, talent, and global impact fostered within our department.

Congratulations to Raghad and Ali on this outstanding achievement.
