The Bioengineering Department recently came together for its end-of-year gathering, a special occasion to reflect on our journey and celebrate the highlights of the past academic year.

We had the honor of recognizing the retirement of Dr. Asaad Al-Thukair, whose long-standing dedication and mentorship have profoundly shaped our department. The event also celebrated the achievements of several faculty members and staff, while briefly reflecting on the department’s accomplishments in research, education, and community outreach.

We were delighted to welcome Dean Dr. Hassan Baaqeel, and former department chair Dr. Jameel AlThagafi, whose presence added extra warmth and meaning to the celebration.

The gathering concluded with a shared lunch and lively conversations, truly a day filled with gratitude, recognition, and the joy of coming together as a department!
