The Bioengineering Department successfully held the” Bioengineering Day” on January 31, to prompt the future of BIOE students and assist them in discovering the career paths for Bioengineers through insightful seminars, engaging discussion panels, and collaborative booth sessions.
The outstanding seminars were led by Prof. Jackie Ying, the Distinguished Professor and Senior Consultant to the President at KFUPM, along with Dr. Abdulmohsen Humam from Saudi Aramco. These seminars highlighted the research & entrepreneurship opportunities in Bioengineering as well as the role of Bioengineers in the Oil & Gas sector.
During the panel discussion, Dr. Ahmed Dalaq moderated a conversation with two experts - Eng. Zahra Abushhab, Chairman of the Biomedical Engineering Department at Al-Ahsa Health Cluster Ministry of Health, and Dr. Abdulmohsen Humam, Research Science Consultant Technology Specialist at Saudi Aramco. As a part of this discussion, guidance was provided to the students to explore their career future.
The booth session featured Bioengineering alumni, industrial and research center representatives, and Bioengineering department faculty.
