The Bioengineering Department at KFUPM proudly launched the Pre-Med Program for Bioengineers, the first of its kind in the region. This pioneering initiative offers students a pathway to pursue medicine while building on their engineering foundation.

The launch event introduced the program’s vision, curriculum, and opportunities. It also featured a keynote talk by Dr. Georg Wieselthaler, a distinguished expert in cardiovascular care and medical device innovation, who shared valuable insights from his career at the intersection of engineering and medicine.

Students gained a clear understanding of how the program prepares future leaders to bridge engineering principles with medical practice, and engaged actively in discussion during the session.
