The Bioengineering Department at KFUPM hosted a Mini-Forum titled “Bench to Patients – Translational Path in Biomedicine” on April 28, 2025. The forum featured distinguished speakers from Brown University: Dr. Justin Fallon, Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, and Dr. Tara L. White, Assistant Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences.

Dr. Fallon shared valuable insights into the development of stem cell therapies targeting neurodegenerative and muscle diseases. Dr. White presented her research in the emerging field of human affective science, emphasizing inter-individual variability in emotional and psychological responses.

Their visit sparked engaging discussions among faculty and students and opened promising opportunities for future collaboration between KFUPM and Brown University.
